An epic day...
Last week, Ben Wartburg and I hit up Cherry Creek at a substantially high flow (2150 CFS) I wouldn't recommend boating the Upper Tuolumne at this level unless you are a rock-solid class V boater. It was my first time down this stretch and I nearly soiled myself on multiple occasions. I found myself getting pushed around quite a bit, skirting the major rapids, swimming out of Christmas Tree Hole, and looking forward to Take-out. Ben made the run look easy, styling everything! Overall, it was an epic day and scared the crap out of me. I look forward to getting on it at lower flows in the near future. Daniel Brasuell has pretty good video on his site: http://www.awetstate.com/
